Christmas in Arkansas

Remember when I said that it snowed on Christmas in Dallas? Well, it REALLY snowed in Little Rock! They got 10-12 inches of snow--crazy! They haven't had a white Christmas in years, so it sent the town into a little bit of chaos. The power was out across the area--including my parent's house and my grandmother's apartment. We decided that the roads were clear enough for us to drive there safely, and we made great time! It was the most beautiful trip to LR that I've ever taken. :)

We had to have a change of plans, and ended up at my sister's house since she still had power. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone! We had a full house--my sister/Pat/Lauren/Luke/Cooper, my brother/Suzanne/Max/Michael/Carol Ann, my mom/dad, my grandmother and our crazy foursome of a family. We felt like the Griswolds! :) It was a fun Christmas celebration--complete with presents, pjs and a yummy dinner.

Opening presents!
Someone is excited!  :)
Will loved his bulldozer from the McClendon family
And the books from the Longworths were a big hit!
Giving her new baby doll (from GJ & Papa) a kiss!  :)
Lauren got a sewing machine!
We stayed up late trying to figure out how it works
Carol Ann and Lauren modeling their new hats!  :)

My parent's power came back on the next day, so we spent the rest of the trip at their house. Will had so much fun playing with GJ's Christmas village and the huge bathtub (Caroline was a little scared of the jets :).

After a lot of rest and relaxation, we drove back to Dallas in time to celebrate the new year with the Gregg family. We had a wonderful Christmas celebration with my family in LR and we are so thankful for the time shared with them. On to 2013!
