Holly Jolly Christmas

What a fun Christmas! Now that we are home from visiting family, I'm finally getting a chance to sit down and go through all the pictures. We had a memorable holiday celebrating the birth of our Savior. Not only did we have some sweet time as our little family of four, but we were also able to spend time with close friends and extended family. We spent Christmas Eve/Christmas Day here at home, and then drove to Little Rock on the 26th. Matt was also able to fly to San Antonio for a couple of days to spend time with his mom/sister, as well as go to the Alamo Bowl to cheer on the Bears for a record winning game. Since there are so many pictures, I'll just post the ones from Christmas Eve/Christmas Day now and do another post for our Arkansas trip...

Something that I want to remember are the traditions we've started as a family. Here are some of my favorites:

1. Going to Christmas Eve service as a family
2. Eating cheese enchiladas for Christmas Eve dinner (in tribute to Matt's dad)
3. Opening the first gift on Christmas Eve--new PJs that are washed and ready to wear
4. Reading the Christmas story in Luke as a family
5. Eating a nice meal on Christmas day--last year we had roasted game hens; this year we had prime rib
6. Playing games on Christmas day--this year we had a Wii tournament

Opening the first gift--Christmas PJs!  (Don't mind Caroline crying in the background. She was just so excited to open a present. :)

Cookies for Santa

We had the intention of reading Luke 2 before bedtime, but the babes were too maxed out so we read it on Christmas morning at breakfast instead.

Santa brought Will some awesome toys!

Caroline got some fun things too!

Santa even brought Lucy a gift!

The best picture I could get of them together--they love to snuggle. They were both pretty tired from all the excitement. :)
